Early voting for the March 21, 2023, Special Election will begin:
February 27, 2023, and end on March 17, 2023

ALL precincts will be open on Election Day March 21, 2023

Toccoa voting location will be in the Jury Assembly Room 3rd floor of the Courthouse 400 West Main St., Blue Ridge, Ga. due to the water damage at the Senior Center for this election only the hours are 7:00 a.m.—7:00 p.m.

Absentee Ballot Information
This is a new election year if you would like an absentee ballot, you MUST fill out a new application.
There is a link to an absentee application under More Tools and Info or you can do an online application through the Secretary of State website at the following links:
The Absentee Ballot Request Portal can be accessed by voters via:
1) SecureMyAbsenteeBallot.sos.ga.gov
2) BallotRequest.sos.ga.gov
3) MVP.sos.ga.gov > click “Submit” > click “Absentee Ballot Portal” tab > click “Absentee Ballot Application”
Voters can request an absentee ballot 78 days before an election without providing a reason. The last day to submit an absent application is 11 days prior to the election.
Any person applying for an absentee-by-mail ballot shall make their application in writing on the form made available by the Secretary of State. The forms are different from the ones used in prior elections be sure to use the new form and fill out the front and back with the information pertaining to you.
There is a link to an absentee application on the Fannin County Board of Elections website at fannincountyga.com link to departments and link to Board of Elections or you can call the Election Office at 706-632-7740 to request an application mailed, emailed, or faxed.
To confirm the identity of the voter, the absentee application requires the elector to provide:
• his or her name
• date of birth
• address as registered
• address where the elector wants ballot to be mailed, and
• the number of his or her Georgia driver’s license or identification card
• When you send an application for an absentee ballot, you must include the number from your driver’s license.
If you do not have a driver’s license use the number from your state-issued identification card, which you can get for free at any office of the Department of Driver Services or your county voter registration office.
However, if you have neither a driver’s license nor a state ID card, then provide a copy or photo of one of the following:
• United States Passport
• Georgia voter identification card
Other valid photo identification card issued by a branch, department, agency, or entity of the State of Georgia, any other state, or the United States authorized by law to issue personal identification
• United States military identification card provided that such identification card contains a photograph of the voter
• Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government, Georgia state government, or Georgia county, municipality, board, authority, or any other entity of the state of Georgia provided that such employee identification card contains a photograph of the voter
• Tribal identification card, provided that such identification card contains a photograph of the voter, or
Any of the following documents that show your name and address:
• Current utility bill
• Bank statement
• Paycheck
• Government check
• Other government document.

Absentee by Mail Voting
Due to changes with the passing of The Election Integrity Act of 2021, absentee voting by mail has changed. Please read this in its entirety to get a clear understanding on the changes and new requirements.
